"Technically, you can only control the activities, not the result." -Steven Covey
Every single push, the though and fact that I can "only control the activities, not the result" gives me a slight peace of mind. No matter how much I want to sell, money I want to make, amount I'd like to be able to put into my start up, I cannot do it without taking the right action steps.
The only thing we can technically control during the push week are the steps we decide to take. I think about how the people who really succeed during the push weeks are the ones constantly making calls and doing demos. (MMC, DMD!) For me (this is no way to brag or boast), if I am not on a demo, I am making calls...whether it be in the driveway of my last customer's house, on the side of the road, in a random shopping center...because I know that in a push, the only things I can have control over are the times I am on the phone, the number of demos I decide to take, and the energy I decide to give my customers when I am on the appointment.
We only have 7 days left of the push. I can only imagine what awesome results everyone could get if they only "did the right things" for the remaining days. Last year, I had a $2,000 week my first week and an $8,600 week the second. Every push happens differently...but if we keep doing the right things, the results will come.
